India had things their way in the first One-Day International of the three-match series against the West Indies, coasting to a six-wicket victory, in Kochi, on Thursday.

After the West Indies won the toss and decided to bat first, the spin duo of Ravindra Jadeja and Suresh Raina exploited the slow conditions of the Nehru stadium wicket to shoot out the tourists for a meagre 211 in 48.5 overs.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma then scored sparkling fifties as the home side chased down the target in 35.2 overs.
