Stats: Kohli first batsman to notch over 300 runs in IPL 6

Royal Challengers Bangalore pulled off a nail-biting win over Delhi Daredevils via the Super Over on Tuesday. Here are the statistical highlights from that Indian Premier League match in Bangalore.

# Virat Kohli posted his eleventh fifty at the IPL, his third against Delhi Daredevils.

# He is the first batsman to aggregate 300 runs in IPL 2013 -- 321 -- at an average of 64.20 in six games.

# He was adjudged the Man of the Match for the fourth time in the IPL.

# The Bangalore-Delhi game produced the fourth tie in the IPL. The Kolkata vs Rajasthan encounter at Cape Town on April 23, 2009 was the first, followed by Chennai vs Punjab in Chennai on March 21, 2010 and Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Bangalore in Hyderabad on April 7, 2013.

# There were tied games in the same month for the first time at the IPL.

# Vinay Kumar has so far picked nine wickets, at 21.11 runs apiece, in six matches, the second highest tally at IPL 6, behind Sunil Narine's tally of ten in five games, at an average of 12.20.

# Kedar Jadhav's six off Ravi Rampaul was the 150th in the present edition of the IPL.

# Kohli and AB de Villiers were associated in a partnership of 103, Bangalore's highest third-wicket stand at the IPL.

# David Warner became the leading run-getter for Delhi Daredevils in five games at IPL 2013, totalling 174, at an average of 34.80, including two fifties.

# Jaydev Unadkat (2/24) registered his best bowling figures in this season of the IPL; his best ever in the tournament is 3 for 26 against Rajasthan at Kolkata on April 17, 2010.

Gayle surpasses 2000 runs in IPL

# Chris Gayle became the sixth batsman to aggregate 2000 runs or more at the IPL, 2012 runs at an average of 50.30 in 49 matches; he joins Suresh Raina (2302), Gautam Gambhir (2300), Rohit Sharma (2130), Sachin Tendulkar (2115) and Jacques Kallis (2046) in the list.

# Gayle (5012 in 135 matches at an average of 44.35) is the second batsman after Brad Hodge (5362 at 36.47 in 183 matches) to complete 5000 runs in Twenty20.

# Gayle (208) is the fourth batsman to amass 200 runs or more at the IPL 2013, joining Virat Kohli (321), Gautam Gambhir (235) and Dinesh Karthik (224).
