I cannot bat like Chris Gayle, says Powell

The dashing opener's exit gave Powell a berth in West Indies's playing eleven for the second ODI and the young left-hander, who struck a fifty to set up the visitor's series-levelling win over India on Sunday night, said he was under no pressure to live up to his senior teammate's reputation.
"I cannot play like Chris Gayle. I just wanted to play my game and enjoy it. It worked in our favour and we won," said a modest Powell, who scored 59.
'We can beat any team'
"We believe we can beat any team in any way and in any conditions. Obviously, we have not been playing good cricket on this tour," he added.
Having tasted their first victory on the month-long tour, that had seen them go down meekly in the two-Test series 0-2, the Windies will now look to wrap the ODI series with a win in the third and final match at Kanpur on Wednesday.
"We'll be very confident after this win. The momentum will be with us. It will be a day game, so it will be totally different in terms of dew. We just have to assess the conditions and play accordingly," Powell added.
'Luck is part of any sport'
Chasing a challenging 289-run target set by India, the West Indies pulled off a thrilling win with three balls to spare to level the three-ODI series 1-1.
"From being one down to level the series is obviously very crucial. We're looking forward to win the series in Kanpur," Powell said.
Powell too agreed with India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni that dew played a major role in the West Indies' victory.
"Luck is part of any sport. Fortunately, we bowled first today. Having seen the heavy dew I feel we made the right decision to go first. Obviously, the ball got wet and they had to change it a few times. It worked in our favour. That's just part of the game."
