India's young team played out of their skin to emerge triumphant in the second Test against England at Lord's on Monday. The victory at the hallowed turf is only their second, and came after 28 years.

Ishant Sharma's inspired spell of fast bowling demolished the home side and gave the tourists a 1-0 lead in the five-Test series.

Statistical highlights from the fifth day's play of the Test.

Ishant Sharma became the first Indian fast bowler to take seven wickets in the fourth innings in Tests. Javagal Srinath had taken 6 for 21 versus South Africa at Ahmedabad in 1996-97.

Answer your critics the Ishant Sharma way!

Cricketing world hails India when they 'bullied and bounced' England!

# Ishant's figures are the fourth best by an Indian speedster away from home. Kapil Dev had taken 8 for 85 against Pakistan at Lahore in 1982-83 and 8 for 106 against Australia at Adelaide in 1985-86.

# His figures are the fourth best in the fourth innings for India. Anil Kumble had captured 10 for 74 versus Pakistan at Delhi in 1998-99, the best ever.

# He (7 for 74) registered his best ever figures in Tests, outstripping the 6 for 51 against New Zealand at Wellington in 2013-14.

# He is the first Indian bowler to bag seven wickets in an innings at Lord's.  In fact, he is the first Indian bowler to take seven wickets in an innings in England.

# He has produced six five-wicket hauls in Tests. This latest performance at Lord's is his first instance of five wickets or more in an innings in a winning cause.

# His tally of 25 wickets (ave.26.48) in four Tests this year is the highest by an Indian bowler. He is the first and only bowler to register three five-wicket hauls in Tests this year.

# His performance is the fifth best by an overseas bowler, apart from the best by a bowler from the sub-continent, at Lord's. The best figures are 8 for 38 by Glenn McGrath for Australia in 1997.

# Ishant received his second Man of the Match award in Tests; his first was for taking ten wickets against the West Indies at Bridgetown in 2011.
