# The fifth wicket partnership of 95 runs between Eoin Morgan and Luke Wright is England's highest partnership for any wicket against West Indies. Paul Collingwood and Michael Yardy had added 91 runs for the seventh wicket at the Oval on June 28, 2007.

#England reached their fifty in just 4.4 overs, which equals their fastest fifty in this format of the game. Against New Zealand at Christchurch on February 7, 2008 also, England had taken 4.4 overs to complete their fifty.

# The 11 sixes in the England innings is a new record for England. They had hit 10 sixes against New Zealand at Christchurch on February 7, 2008.

# Ravi Rampaul conceded 52 runs in his 3 overs - an economy rate of 17.33 ! This is the worst ever economy rate achieved by any bowler in a spell of three overs or more in Twenty20 internationals.

# It was the seventh time in the history of T20 cricket that the Duckworth-Lewis system was brought in to decide a winner. This was the third such instance in a match involving England. Two of them have come against West Indies and on both the occasions England were at the losing end. West Indies had eliminated them from the 2009 World Cup in a similar scenario at the Oval on June 15, 2009.

# Darren Sammy won the Man of the Match award for the second time in succession. He had also won the award against Ireland on April 30th.
