Zimbabwe arrive in Chennai for WCup warm-up match

Led by Elton Chigumbura, Zimbabwe's World Cup squad arrived in Chennai on Wednesday evening to play in a warm-up match against South Africa on Feb 12, as part of their preparations for the upcoming World Cup.

Playing their eighth World Cup, Zimbabwe will start the campaign by taking on four-time champions Australia on Feb 21 in a Group A match in Ahmedabad.

The other teams in the group are former champions Pakistan and Sri Lanka besides New Zealand, Kenya and Canada.

The team is scheduled to have a trainning session on Thursday afternoon.

The team: Elton Chigumbura (captain), Charles Coventry, Graeme Cremer, Regis Chakabva, Sean Ervine, Craig Ervine, Gregory Lamb, Shingirai Masakadza, Edward Rainsford, Christopher Mpofu, Raymond Price, Tatenda Taibu, Brendan Taylor, Prosper Utseya, Sean Williams.
