India's batting superstar Virat Kohli celebrates his 28th birthday on Saturday.

Courtesy of his batting heroics, Kohli has become one of the most loved cricketers in India in the last few years, following in the footsteps of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar.

Kohli's magnificent run with the bat has been integral to India's good run across all formats in the last few years, while also firmly establishing the Delhi right-hander as one of the best batsmen in the world in the last couple of seasons.

Come next week, Kohli will be leading India in a high-profile five-match Test series against England, with the first match starting in Rajkot on November 9.

Under Kohli, India have been on a roll in Tests, having whitewashed New Zealand 3-0 last month to follow up on their Test series victories against South Africa, West Indies and Sri Lanka to take the top spot in ICC Test rankings.

He has already notched up 26 hundreds in 176 ODIs, for a tally of 7570 runs at an average of 52, while scoring 3554 runs in 48 Tests at an average of 45 with 13 centuries.
