Rahul Dravid [ Images ] continued his good run in 2011 and notched another milestone, going past 1000 runs in the calendar year during his knock of 82 in the first innings, on Day 3 of the third and final Test against the West Indies [ Images ], in Mumbai [ Images ], on Thursday.
The veteran batsman achieved the feat of scoring 1000 runs or more in a calendar year for the third time in his career.
He is the first batsman to achieve the feat in 2011.
His best in a calendar year is the 1357 runs he scored in 16 Tests in 2002; it included five centuries and five half-centuries.
The right-hander then amassed 1095 runs in 2006, and this year has already scored 1034 runs.
