Tickets for the 2007 Cricket World Cup (CWC) in the West Indies will go on sale on May 1, 2006, and start at 10 US dollars, officials said.

More than 800,000 tickets will be available and will range from $10 for warm-up matches to $300 for a luxury seat at the final, CWC commercial manager Stephen Price said.

"Everyone will have an equal chance to buy a ticket and there are prices for every pocket," Price told a news conference on Wednesday.

Purchases will be restricted to a maximum of four tickets per match. Applications can be made online at www.cricketworldcup.com.

The West Indies will be hosting its biggest sporting event between March 11 and April 28, 2007.

Ticket sales will be in three phases with the first running from May 1 to July 31, 2006. Phase two will be from September 1 to November 30, 2006, and phase three from January 9 to April 28, 2007.

Tickets will also be sold in packages through official travel agents.

The tournament will take place on 12 grounds in nine Caribbean nations. Most of the stadiums are under construction and are expected to be completed by next November.
