Three points for TN against Baroda

Having taken a small first-innings lead, Tamil Nadu eked out three points from their Group B Ranji Trophy match against Baroda, in Vadodara on Tuesday.

Tamil Nadu were 108 for two when stumps were drawn for the final time at the Moti Bagh Stadium.

Resuming on their overnight score of 116 for four, Baroda were bowled out for 260 in their second innings, with skipper Ambati Rayudu being the top scorer with a knock of 66 off 146 balls.

Medium pacer Jagannathan Kasuhik was the wrecker in chief for Tamil Nadu, finishing with figures of four for 62, while his seam colleague Sunil Sam took three for 63.

In their second essay, Tamil Nadu's Abhinav Mukund and Baba Aparajith got some batting practice as they remained unbeaten on 45 and 40, respectively.

Baroda had scored 208 in their first innings and Tamil Nadu replied with 230, giving them a lead of 22 runs, which proved to be crucial in the end.
