Suchith, Krishna guide Karnataka to four wicket win over Bangladesh 'A'

Ranji Trophy champions Karnataka started off their pre-season campaign in style as they beat Bangladesh ‘A’ side by four wickets on the third and final day in Mysore.

Set a target of 181, skipper CM Gautam and allrounder Shreyas Gopal guided the run chase with scores of 49 and an unbeaten 40 respectively.

Karnataka, who made the early in roads after dismissing Bangladesh ‘A’ for a paltry  took 158, which saw debutant Prasidh Krishna take 5-49.

Karnataka took a healthy 151-run first innings lead with Shishir Bhavane top-scoring with 88. Shuvagata and Sajib took four wickets each.

Although there was a better display from the visitors in the second essay, with Anamul Haque scoring 89 but they were bowled out for 309 runs.

Left-arm spinner J Suchith, also on first-class debut, took 6-60

Bangladesh A take on India A in a one-off unofficial Test in Bangalore from September 27, which will also be their last game on tour.
