Ravichandran Ashwin emerged the star performer as India beat Sri Lanka by 278 runs to win the second Test and level the three- match series between the countries in Colombo on Monday.

The off-spinner, with figures of 5 for 42, and his spin colleague Amit Mishra (3-29) ran through Sri Lanka's batting in the second innings as the hosts, chasing 413 for an improbable victory, collapsed to 134 all out. After two the Tests Ashwin has 17 wickets to his name.
