South African openers Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock make the maximum of the weak Indian bowling attack as they amass runs.

Rediff.com presents the statistical highlights of the second One-dayer of the three-match series between India and South Africa at Kingsmead, in Durban on Sunday.

# Hashim Amla (100 off 117 balls) has recorded his 12th hundred in ODIs - his second vs India.

# Amla's aforesaid innings is his first hundred at Kingsmead, Durban in ODIs.

# In South Africa in ODIs, Amla has registered seven centuries.

# Amla, during the course of his 12th century, has completed his 4000 runs in 81 innings, setting a record for the fastest to this milestone in ODIs, surpassing Vivian Richards' distinction of reaching the milestone in 88 innings.

# Quinton de Kock's magnificent 106 off 118 balls is his third century in ODIs - two against India and one against Pakistan.

# For the first time in ODIs, de Kock has registered back to back hundreds in ODIs - both against India - 135 at Johannesburg and 106 at Durban. He became the second South African after Abraham de villiers to post two consecutive hundreds against India in ODIs.

# The first South African player to hit three centuries in ODIs this year is De Kock.

# De Kock has received his second Man of the Match award in ODIs.

# De Kock is the fifth wicketkeeper to post a hundred and effect four dismissals in an innings in the same match, joining Alec Stewart, Abraham de villiers, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Mohammad Shahzad.

# The 194-run partnership between Amla and de Kock is the second highest for any wicket at Kingsmead, Durban behind the 197 for the second wicket between Brian Lara and Phil Simmons (West Indies) against Pakistan on February 19, 1993.

# The above stand is the highest opening partnership for South Africa against India in ODIs in South Africa, obliterating the 173 between Graeme Smith and Abraham de Villiers at Centurion on December 3, 2006.

# The 194-run stand is the second highest for any wicket for South Africa against India in ODIs behind the 235 for the first wicket between Herschelle Gibbs and Gary Kirsten at Kochi on March 9, 2000.

# Amla and Kock have posted the century stands in consecutive innings for the opening wicket - 152 at Johannesburg and 194 at Durban. The last occasion when the South African openers had recorded two consecutive century stands in ODIs was against Scotland and Australia in the 2007 ICC World Cup - by Abraham de Villiers and Graeme Smith.

# Both South African openers have posted hundreds in the same ODI innings for the second time - the first occasion being Gary Kirsten (115) and Herschelle Gibbs (111) vs India at Kochi on March 9, 2000.

# AB de Villiers had recorded two unbeaten innings - 114 at Gwalior on February 24, 2010 and 102 at Ahmedabad on February 27, 2010.  He had posted another hundred - 102 vs West Indies at North Sound on May 22, 2010 and became the second South African batsman after Herschelle Gibbs to record three hundreds in consecutive innings.
