IPL Extras: Bravo suffers shoulder injury

Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Dwayne Bravo suffered a shoulder injury while fielding during Kings XI Punjab's innings in their IPL match.

Bravo took a tumble while fielding at point region in the 11th over and got injured.

He unsuccessfully tried to stop a switch hit by Glenn Maxwell, off Ravichandran Ashwin, off the last delivery of the 11th over, with a diving effort and injured his shoulder in the process.

The West Indian left the field and was reportedly taken to a local hospital to ascertain the seriousness of his injury.

The status of Bravo's injury is yet not known. He did not bowl during Kings' run-chase.

CSK captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni said after the match that Bravo was playing the match as a specialist batsman. He added that he was not offering excuses for his side's failure to defend the huge 205 for four which saw them lose the match by six wickets.

IPL ticket sales cross 200,000 mark

Just three days into the Indian Premier League and the houseful boards are already hanging from ticket windows in the UAE.

The 200,000th ticket for the UAE leg was sold on Thursday, according to a statement from the Board of Control for Cricket in India.

Eight of the first 15 match-days have been sold out, or close to selling out.

Based on current forecasts, the only matches where tickets will be available on match-day at the stadium box office will be those played in Sharjah on April 20 and April 22.

Played across three UAE venues - Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah - the first leg of the seventh edition is slated till April 30, after which the action shifts to India post the general elections.
