Ravindra Jadeja would not like to forget the Delhi Test in a hurry. Being part of a victorious team which whitewashed Australia 4-0 is not an achievement many can boast of and to play the primary role in the triumph is the perfect icing on the cake.
Jadeja's seven-wicket haul saw India clinch another easy victory
India thrashed Australia by six wickets within three days in the fourth and final Test in Delhi. And it was once again the spinners, who did the damage, led by Jadeja's seven-wicket haul.
His feat saw India clinch another easy victory despite the two teams being equally poised after the first innings.
Jadeja ran through the Australian batting line-up claiming five wickets for 58 in 16 overs to help bundle them out for a paltry 164 in their second innings. Chasing 155 for victory. India had a mini hiccup when they lost three quick wickets but Cheteshwar Pujara hit a fluent 82 from 92 balls to carry the team home.
Dhoni has a lot of faith in Jadeja's abilities
Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has a lot of faith in Jadeja's abilities and has gone all out to defend him ever since he was a surprise for the fourth Test match against England in Nagpur.
And he has repaid his captain's trust in his abilities with some good showing with the ball. Jadeja has proved to be the man with the golden arm for India right through the series. On every occasion and has provided the team with important breakthroughs.
On Day 3 of the Delhi Test, Jadeja dealt the telling blows early on in the Aussie second innings. Glenn Maxwell was sent in as the pinch hitter but Jadeja had him bowled with a near unplayable which turned enough to go past the face of the bat. David Warner tried to play across the line but was trapped leg before wicket and Ed Cowan suffered the same fate.

Steven Smith and Mitchell Johnson fell off successive deliveries as India never let the Australian batsmen settle down long enough to post a challenging total in their second innings.
Jadeja's inclusion provides the team with the luxury of playing an extra bowler since the all-rounder can also chip in with the bat when required.
The 24-year-old finished as the second highest wicket taker with 24 wickets in the series to play an integral part in India's historic triumph.
Jadeja came into the limelight on the basis of his heroics in the Indian Premier League. But he has shown that if the conditions are right, he can be more than a handful in Test cricket too.
