Sivaramakrishnan out of Pakistan tie

Indian team suffered a blow before its match against Pakistan 'A' as allrounder Vidyut Sivaramakrishnan sustained a finger injury and has been ruled out of action for three weeks.

Sivaramkrishnan was injured during the nets yesterday but the team management has not yet decided whether to call for any replacement as Indian colts still have to play three more matches in the league and may be the final, slated on May 5, India A team manager Rajan Nair was reported as saying in The Gulf News.

Indians will meet their traditional rivals Pakistan on Friday.

Packed with players who have done duty for their respective seniors squad, Friday's match could be a close encounter.

Meanwhile, all teams will enjoy a rest day on Wednesday, though a get-together has been arranged for players and officials.

Sri Lanka will take on the UAE on Thursday.
