Sehwag to lead formidable Delhi in Ranji opener vs UP

Virender Sehwag would lead a star-studded Delhi line-up comprising the likes of Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Ishant Sharma when they take on Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy opening round away game at Ghaziabad from November 2-5.

The likes of Sehwag and Gambhir would get some much needed practise in the longer version before the four-Test series against England starts off.

Apart from the quartet who are part of the current India set-up, there will be India U-19 captain Unmukt Chand, India A pacer Parvinder Awana and former India speedster Ashish Nehra.

Mithun Manhas who has been Delhi's captain for the past two seasons won't be leading in presence of these players.

The only notable absentee is opener Shikhar Dhawan who will not be playing the first-round match due to his marriage.
