Led by brilliant bowling from Ravichandran Ashwin, India registered a 337-run victory over South Africa in the fourth and final Test at the Feroz Shah Kotla, in Delhi, on Monday.

Needing a mammoth 481 for victory, South Africa's ultra-defensive approach lasted just 143.1 overs before they were dismissed for 143, the last five wickets falling for a mere seven runs in a dramatic collapse after tea on the last day of the match.

345 Minutes AB de Villiers batted for his 43, the longest any batsman has batted for this particular score in a Test innings.

337 The victory margin for India, their biggest in Tests. They had beaten Australia by 320 runs at Mohali in 2008-09.

288 Minutes Hashim Amla batted for his 25, the longest any batsman has for this specific score in an innings in Test cricket.

108 Number of consecutive scoreless deliveries bowled by Ravindra Jadeja. Only Hugh Tayfield (137) and Bapu Nadkarni (130) have a longer sequence of scoreless deliveries in a Test.

33 Maidens bowled by Ravindra Jadeja, most by an Indian in an innings against South Africa.

26 Number of times AB de Villiers has top-scored in a completed innings – a new record for South Africa. The previous record before this Test was 24 in the name of Jacques Kallis.

10.82 Ravindra Jadeja’s bowling average in the series – best for an Indian bowler taking 20 or more wickets in a series. Ravichandran Ashwin is second with his bowling average of 11.12

5 Number of Man-of-the-series awards won by Ashwin in his Test career – most by an Indian along with Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag. Ashwin has done so in just 12 series as against 74 for Tendulkar and 38 for Sehwag.

3 Number of Tests lost by South Africa in the series -- most they have lost in a series since April 2006 when they lost to Australia at home.

2 Number of times Ashwin has taken four five wicket-hauls in a series -- the only Indian bowler to do so. He also had done so against Australia in 2012-13.

0 Number of centuries scored by South African batsmen in the series. This is the first time there has been no century scored by the opposition against India in a series of four matches or more.
