Dravid completes 9000 at No. 3

Rahul Dravid, on Wednesday, became the second batsman in Test history to aggregate 9,000 runs while batting at No. three. 

The former India captain emulated Australia's Ricky Ponting (who had a tally of 9447 before the start of second Test against Pakistan).

In the first Test against Sri Lanka in Galle, Dravid could manage only 18 runs in the first innings while he fell for a fighting 44 in the second.
