The Technical Committee of the ICC U/19 Cricket World Cup decided to revert to the original schedule for the Super League quarter-finals following representations from participating teams.

The Technical Committee of the ICC U/19 Cricket World Cup decided to revert to the original schedule for the Super League quarter-finals following representations from participating teams.

The decision, announced on Thursday, to alter the venues for the matches -- which will take place on Saturday, February 11 -- was taken by the Committee in an attempt to minimise the advantage gained by India and Sri Lanka, who had played all their group matches at the R. Premadasa Stadium, by switching them away from the venue.

However, after those representations it was decided to reinstate the original, publicised schedule on the basis that this was how the teams had made their match preparations.

The original schedule did not indicate which of Super League quarter-finals two and four would be played at the R.Premadasa Stadium or the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC).

Given that the issue regarding Super League quarter-final matches at R Premadasa and SSC was based on the results in Group C, it was further decided that the winner of Group C would play its quarter-final match at R Premadasa Stadium.

As such, the draw for the Super League quarter-finals is as follows (with teams added in now that the final round of group matches have concluded):

QF 1: Bangladesh v England at P.Saravanamuttu Stadium

QF 2: India v West Indies at R.Premadasa Stadium

QF 3: Zimbabwe v Pakistan at Nondescripts Cricket Club (NCC)

QF 4: Australia v Sri Lanka at Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC)

The Plate Championship quarter-final matches were also decided in the light of the final matches in each group and those matches are as follows:

QF 1: New Zealand v Ireland at R.Premadasa Stadium

QF 2: Namibia v USA, SSC

QF 3: Nepal v Uganda, P.Saravanamuttu Stadium

QF 4: South Africa v Scotland, NCC

The Plate Championship quarter-finals will take place on February 14.

The Super League semi-finals (on February 15 & 17) and the Super League final (February 19) will all be played at the R.Premadasa Stadium and televised.

The six-man tournament Technical Committee is made up as follows:
