Pakistan Cricket Board is set to make a whopping 900 million rupees (INR 66.6 crore approx) from the Test and one-day series against India, a PCB official has said.

PCB Marketing Manager Subhan Ahmed said this was the projected figure of earnings from various sources including sale of television rights, sponsorship and gate money.

"We have long-term contracts for the sale of television rights and bundle sponsorship but we are estimating an earning of around 1000 million rupees for this series alone," he was quoted as saying by local daily 'The News'.

Subhan also disclosed that from the recent home series against England, the Board had earned around 700 million Pakistani rupees (INR 51.8 crore approx).

"The Board is now in a very secure position as far as the sale of television rights and title sponsorship and co-sponsorships are concerned. For the next four years all our series have been sold in advance and every time a series approaches, we just have to explore more avenues of earning revenues," he said.

Pakistan had earned a staggering USD 21 million when India last toured Pakistan in 2004 and Subhan said it was on account of the fact that there was exceptional interest in that series as India were touring Pakistan for the first time in 14 years.

"The sponsors from India and Pakistan were rushing in to get rights. But since then both teams have played regularly against each other, the interest of sponsors has waned," he stated.
