Animal lover Virat Kohi on Thursday took some time off to mingle with the security dogs at the M A Chidambaram stadium in Chennai on Thursday on the eve of the fifth and final Test against England.

The India captain was seen giving the dogs water on the sidelines of India's training session at the stadium.

"Captain @imVkohli takes some time off to give water to a couple of security dogs here in Chennai," BCCI tweeted.

Kohli is a self-confessed dog lover and has a beagle at home -- Bruno.

"When I come back home after a match, or a tour, Bruno is the first one to greet me and jump all over me. He is truly a bundle of joy. I take him out for walks and runs whenever I can. I love spoiling him with treats occasionally. And I also take him out on weekend trips. Once, we took our pet with us up on a drive to Mussoorie, and he loved the wind on his face! He had his head out of the window for most of the drive. There are many more memorable moments together," he has been quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, the Indian team, who had their practice sessions cancelled on Wednesday because of the damage caused to the stadium by the cyclonic storm 'Vardah', kept themselves busy with some video games.

Kohli along with his team mates Karun Nair, KL Rahul and Cheteshwar Pujara were busy playing, while Ravichandran Ashwin was a keen spectator.

"No network. No wifi and the boys are all up for a game of FIFA #TeamIndia," BCCI tweeted.
