Parthiv to lead India in Emerging Players tourney

Wicketkeeper batsman Parthiv Patel will lead a 15-member Indian squad at the Emerging Players Tournament in Brisbane, Australia, from August 8 to 20.

Cheteshwar Pujara, who led India 'A' recently in England, was named Patel's deputy by the senior national selection committee that met on Tuesday in Chennai to pick the squad.

New Zealand, South Africa and Australia will take part in the tournament, comprising T20 and 50-over matches.

The team: Parthiv Patel (Capt), Cheteshwar Pujara (vice-capt), Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Sourav Tiwary, Kedar Jadhav, Naman Ojha, Abhinav Mukund, Umesh Yadav, Jaydev Unadkat, R Vinay Kumar, Dhawal Kulkarni, Jaskaran Singh, Piyush Chawla and R Ashwin.
