Delhi captain Virendra Sehwag has lodged a complaint against a Rest of India player for his ungentlemanly conduct during the ongoing Irani Trophy match in Vadodara.
Match Referee Rajendra Jadeja confirmed on Friday that a complaint was lodged at the end of play on Day 2 of the match, but refused to divulge details. He said he would do so only after analyzing the complaint.
It is likely that the complaint is against Rest of India pacer Munaf Patel, who had got into an altercation with Delhi batsman Aakash Chopra in the first innings.
Things though did not go out of hand as Sehwag, who was at the crease with Chopra, intervened and calmed the players.
Munaf had also allegedly abused Sehwag and Ishant Sharma during the course of the match.
During the recent ODI series in Sri Lanka, Munaf was guilty of abusing Gamini Silva after the Lankan umpire turned down a leg before appeal from him.
Match Referee Chris Broad subsequently fined the bowler 75 per cent of his match fee for using "language that is obscene, offensive or of a seriously insulting nature".
