Pakistan selectors call up Moin after rethink

Moin was added to the list of 22 players for the five-match series after the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Tauqir Zia, stepped in to defuse a row between coach Javed Miandad and chief selector Aamir Sohail.

The dispute flared up after Sohail announced the pool of players last Friday without consulting the Pakistan captain or coach and even some of his fellow selectors.

The squad did not include wicketkeeper Moin, who played in the two Tests against South Africa, or former skipper Rashid Latif and had just one keeper, Kamran Akmal, for the

"The selectors have reconsidered the inclusion of Moin after a rethink on their part," PCB chief executive Rameez Raja said.

"They felt it would be better to have two wicketkeepers in the training camp for New Zealand."

The one-dayers start at Faisalabad on November 22.
