With the media going all out with ‘news’ about Virat Kohli and actress Anushka Sharma’s impending engagement, the India Test captain decided to himself put a stop to the rumours.
Kohli took to Twitter to clear all ‘confusion’ regarding the development.
"We aren't getting engaged & if we were going to,we wouldn't hide it. Simple... Since news channels cant resist selling false rumours & keeping you confused, we are just ending the confusion :)
Reports of Kohli and Anushka’s engagement were first flashed in a Mumbai-based tabloid on Thursday and day later, claims were made that the ceremony will be held in Dehradun on January 1, 2017.
Only, if the rumour mongers had a life.
We say: Well played, Virat for shutting the rumour mills.
