Bhandari sends Kenya crashing

August 14, 2004 20:29 IST

India 'A' proved too good for hosts Kenya, winning their one-day triangular match by ten wickets at the Nairobi Gymkhana club on Saturday.

Opening fast bowler Amit Bhandari destroyed the Kenyans as he wiped out the top order, claiming three early wickets as the home side was all out for 133.

Maurice Odumbe (40) was the only batsman to register meaningful runs in the low-scoring game.

India 'A' captain Sairaj Bahutule also took three wickets to ensure sweet revenge over the hosts after his team was beaten by 20 runs on Thursday.

But it was the Indian prolific opening pair of Gautam Gambhir and Dheeraj Jadhav who made sure the match ended early for the tourists by scoring half centuries.

Pakistan is the other team in the tounament.
