March 21, 2006 17:16 IST

Former India player Ajay Jadeja will lead Rajasthan Cricket Association XI in the one-day warm up match against England in Jaipur on Saturday.

The 35-year-old will captain the 17-member side, which also includes players like Suresh Raina, Piyush Chawla, Rudra Pratap Singh (Uttar Pradesh), V R V Singh (Punjab), Ramesh Powar (Mumbai) and Gautam Gambhir (Delhi).

The tour match will be England's only warm-up game before the one-day international series starts in New Delhi on March 28.

In his heyday, Jadeja was an active member of the Indian team, figuring in 196 ODIs and 15 Tests, before being banned for five years in December 2000 for his alleged role in the match-fixing episode. He resumed playing domestic cricket with Delhi in 2003 after a high court ruled in his favour.

Jadeja moved to Rajasthan last year and is doubling up as captain and coach of the team.
