It was Danielle's father, who first shared pictures of the baby on Facebook. "Today I became a grandfather! Abraham Benjamin De Villiers (III) was born at 12:01 and weighed 3.2Kg. He is a good looking and healthy boy," the post read.

The 31-year-old missed the Bangladesh Test series as he had asked for paternity leave.

De Villiers popped the question to Danielle Swart in front of the historic Taj Mahal.

The symbol of love in Agra proved lucky for South Africa's skipper as the got two engaged shortly in 2012 and married later.
