# Bangalore (215/1) have recorded their highest total in the IPL, eclipsing the 205/6 against Punjab at Bangalore on May 6, 2011.

# Bangalore's 215/1 is the highest by any team in the IPL 2012, bettering the 208 for five by Chennai against Bangalore at Chennai on April 12.

Chris Gayle# Fourteen sixes have been recorded in Bangalore innings, equalling their previous best tally in the IPL. They had recorded 14 sixes against Pune at Bangalore on April 17, 2012.

# The Bangalore-Delhi match has posted 409 runs for the loss of ten wickets -- the second highest in the present competition -- the highest is 413 for 13 off 40 overs between Bangalore and Chennai at Chepauk, Chennai on April 12.

# Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli put on 204 (unbroken) for the second wicket -- the second best for any wicket in the IPL, next only to the 206 for the second wicket between Adam Gilchrist and Shaun Marsh for Kings XI Punjab against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Dharamsala on May 17, 2011.

# Chris Gayle has received his fifth man-of-the-match award in this edition -- the most by a player. Having received 12 man-of-the-match awards, Gayle has established a record in the IPL.

# Gayle has received the man-of-the-match award 21 times, extending his record in Twenty20.

# Gayle's brilliant unbeaten knock of 128 off 62 balls is the highest individual innings for Bangalore in the IPL, outstripping the 114 not out by Manish Pandey against Deccan Chargers at Centurion on May 21, 2009.

# Gayle's match-winning innings, embellished with 13 sixes, is his highest in Twenty20. Of the four centuries recorded for Bangalore in IPL, three have been made by Gayle.

# Chris Gayle's tally of 57 sixes is a record in an IPL tournament, surpassing his own tally of 44 sixes last year.

# The first batsman to register a century against Delhi Daredevils in the IPL is Gayle. He has surpassed Shaun Marsh's 95 for Punjab at Delhi on April 23, 2011.

# Gayle became the first player to manage 700 runs or more in the IPL 2012, totalling 706 at an average of 64.18 in 14 matches.

# Gayle's above tally is his best in an IPL edition, more than the 608 (ave. 67.55) in 12 matches in 2011. He is the only batsman to score 600 runs or more in an IPL season twice.

# Gayle's aforesaid aggregate is the highest by a batsman in an IPL competition, surpassing the 618 (ave. 47.53) in 15 matches by Sachin Tendulkar in 2009-10.

# Gayle became the first batsman to record a century and seven fifties in an IPL tournament.

# Both Gayle and Brendon McCullum have recorded 13 sixes in an IPL innings. During his outstanding knock of 158 not out off 73 balls for Kolkata against Bangalore at Bangalore on April 18, 2008, McCullum had posted 13 sixes.

# Gayle has recorded 127 sixes, extending his IPL record.

# Zaheer Khan (3/38) has produced his best bowling performance in the IPL 2012.

# Ross Taylor's magnificent 22-ball fifty is the fourth quickest in the IPL 5. The said innings is his 16th fifty in Twenty20.

# During the course of his above innings, Kohli has completed his 300 runs in the IPL 5, totalling 322 at an average of 26.83 in 15 matches.
