The accounts of the Indian Premier League's third edition, after which its Commissioner Lalit Modi was suspended, would be taken up for discussion when the 13-member Governing Council of the Twenty20 tournament meets in Mumbai on Monday.

Modi was suspended for alleged financial irregularities in running the IPL and is being investigated by a three-man probe panel, which is to submit a report of its findings to the Cricket Board.

The accounts (income and expenditure) for the 2010 edition of IPL is the lone item which is on the agenda of the Governing Council meeting which is being held two days before the Cricket Board's AGM at which they would be tabled.

"The Governing Council of IPL will meet on September 27.

The only item on the agenda is the accounts of IPL-III, which has to be passed before being presented at the AGM," BCCI sources said.

The AGM, at which the Governing Council is to be re-constituted and its tenure reduced to one year through an amendment to the Board's memorandum of rules and regulations, will be held on September 29 at the BCCI's headquarters.

The BCCI proposes to bring the reconstituted IPL GC on par with its other sub-committees after allowing it a free rein under Modi in the first three years. The re-constituted body would also have five members, two ex-cricketers (one less than the current panel) and all the BCCI office bearers as ex-officio members.

Former captains Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi, Sunil Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri are members of the current IPL Governing Council, but it's not clear whether all these three former cricketers would attend tomorrow's meeting.

Gavaskar and Shastri have media commitments to fulfill in the ongoing Champions T20 League that is concluding in South Africa.

IPL vice-chairman Niranjan Shah was also in South Africa to witness the event but has returned to the country and would attend the meeting.
