'Our aim is to make the top four'

West Indian Dwyane Bravo, who hit a last ball six to keep Chennai Super Kings afloat in the ongoing Indian Premier League, said that he backed himself to score the five runs needed of Kolkata Knight Riders' pacer Rajat Bhatia's final delivery. 

Bravo also admitted that Bhatia to some extent helped him in his endeavour by bowling a lose full toss. 

"It was a very simple equation. We needed four to tie and five to win.

"So definitely boundary was the option, and I backed myself well," he said at the post-match press conference. 

"The bowler (Bhatia) helped with a bad delivery in that over. It was a fantastic game. You got to give credit to both teams. The fans got their money's worth," Bravo added. 

Bravo, however, feels it should have been an easy run chase for CSK after Man-of-the-Match Michael Hussey (56 off 39) and Murali Vijay (36 off 25) set the foundation with a 97-run opening stand. 

He also praised off-spinner Sunil Narine (2/14) for bringing KKR back into the match with his misery spell. 

"We should have won the game easily with the start we got. But as I said, the credit goes to the opposition. Sunil came in and got two crucial wickets," Bravo said. 

Standing fourth on the table with 17 points from 15 games, CSK need to win their last league encounter against Kings XI on Thursday to stay in the hunt for a hat-trick of titles. 

"Our aim is to make the top four. The position in the table does not matter as long as we qualify for the next round. Winning these close games are very important. We have one more left and hopefully we can win it," Bravo said.
