Stats: Rohit Sharma records highest average in IPL 4

Statistical highlights from the Indian Premier League match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings played in Mumbai on Friday

# Andrew Symonds and Rohit Sharma were involved in a fourth wicket partnership of 87 -- Mumbai Indians' best against Chennai in the IPL.

# Symonds, during the course of his 31 not out, completed his 2,000 runs in Twenty20 -- 2027 at an average of 34.35 in 81 matches.

# Rohit (87 off 48 balls) posted his highest innings in the IPL -- his first fifty in the IPL 4 is his 13th in Twenty20.

# Playing in his 50th game, Rohit recorded his ninth half-century in the IPL.

# Rohit became the fifth highest run-scorer in the IPL. The leading six run-getters are -- Suresh Raina (1492), Sachin Tendulkar (1411), Jacques Kallis (1365) and Adam Gilchrist (1329), Rohit Sharma (1304) and Gautam Gambhir (1288).

# Rohit is averaging 134.00 -- the highest in the IPL 4 -- the next best being Sachin Tendulkar (120.50).

# Harbhajan Singh (5 for 18) produced his first five-wicket haul in Twenty20.

# Harbhajan's previous best figures in the IPL were 4 for 17 against Delhi at Centurion on May 21, 2009.

# Harbhajan is the second Mumbai bowler after Lasith Malinga and the sixth overall to bag five wickets in an innings in the IPL.

# Apart from Harbhajan and Malinga, Sohail Tanvir, Anil Kumble, Amit Mishra and Lakshmipathy Balaji have taken five wickets or more in an innings in the IPL.
