IPL stats: Highest batting average, best strike rate

Statistical highlights of the Indian Premier League match between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Jaipur.

# Bangalore now have 15 points - seven victories and three defeats out of eleven played (abandoned one). They are placed second in the points table. 

# Rajasthan Royals, with five victories and six defeats, are placed fifth in the points table - 11 poionts (one abandoned). 

# Chris Gayle is averaging 99.50 in the IPL 4 for his 398 runs in six innings at a strike rate of 195.09. His strike rate is also the best in the present competition. 

# S Badrinath's average of 98.00 is the second best in the present competition so far. 

# Gayle's aggregate of 398, including two hundreds and one fifty, is the second highest in the IPL 2011, next only to Virender Sehwag (422). The next three are - Michael Hussey (388), Virat Kohli (387) and Sachin Tendulkar (371).

# Gayle became the first batsman to post 30 sixes in IPL 4. Sanath Jayasuriya had registered 31 sixes during the 2008 edition of the IPL, aggregating 514 runs at an average of 42.83 in 14 matches. 

# Royal Challengers Bangalore have won six consecutive matches in the IPL 2011. They have joined Mumbai (2008) and Rajasthan (2008) to record six succssive victories in the IPL. 

# Bangalore's splendid nine-wicket triumph is their biggest in Jaipur in the IPL. 

# Bangalore have posted their second biggest victory over Rajasthan in the IPL, next only to their 10-wicket win at Bangalore on March 18, 2010. 

# Shane Watson and Rahul Dravid were associated in a partnership of 73 for the first wicket - Rajasthan's third partnership of fifty-plus in the present competition. 

# Dravid is the leading run-getter for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 4, aggregating 299 at an average of 29.90 in ten matches, including a fifty. 

# Sreenath Aravind is the top wicket-taker for Bangalore in the fourth edition of the IPL, taking 13 wickets at an average of 15.07 in seven matches. 

# Only three half-centuries have been recorded in eleven games for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2011 - one each by Rahul Dravid, Johan Botha and Ajinkya Rahane.

# Watson (34 off 29 balls) is without a half-century in the present competition, aggregating 221 at an average of 24.55.
