Naman Ojha played a starring role

It was a single-handed effort so to speak.

And it deservingly won the man-of-the-match accolade.

Naman OjhaNaman Ojha's masterclass 80, his third IPL fifty, helped Rajasthan Royals to a formidable total (177 for eight) and their eventual triumph against Chennai Super Kings at Motera on Sunday.

Ojha was also involved in the two crucial partnership that laid the foundation of the Rajasthan innings.

The stumper first shared a 47-run first wicket stand - off just 24 balls - with Michael Lumb (30) to give his side the start required.

Thereafter, he shared a crucial 53-run stand - in seven overs - for the second wicket with Faiz Fazal (17) to help Rajasthan build on their solid start.

Ojha was at his best en route to a career-best innings, twice hitting Muttiah Muralitharan out of the ground.

He meted out a similar treatment to Suresh Raina as well.

He reached his half-century in just 32 balls and celebrated the occasion by smashing Shadabt Jakati for two maximums in the 17th over.

However, Thilan Thushara accounted for him in the 18th over.

Ojha's 49-ball knock was inclusive of six fours and five sixes and laid the foundation of the Rajasthan victory.
