Praveen Kumar fined for dissent

Praveen Kumar has been fined 20 per cent of his match fee for arguing with the umpire on the opening day of the second Test against England, at Trent Bridge, on Friday.

The incident happened when the bowler was in his eighth over. Convinced he had got Kevin Pietersen out leg before, Kumar was left disappointed when umpire Marais Erasmus remained unmoved.

It was a great delivery, no doubt, but replays suggested the umpire had got it right, as the batsman had come a long way forward.

The bowler took his case to Erasmus at the end of the over and questioned his decision. He looked really disappointed with the same, lost his cool and vented out his frustration before Harbhajan Singh had to intervene to calm things down.
