Delhi Jets thrived on an unbeaten 122 by opener M D Misra to score a five-wicket win over Kolkata Tigers for its second win in as many matches in the six-team 50-over-a-side Indian Cricket League domestic tournament in Chennai on Friday.

Delhi, who beat the strong Mumbai in its first match of the inaugural tournament on Tuesday, chased a Kolakata Tigers' total of 299 all out in 50 overs.

Apart from Misra, whose effort came from a 128 ball effort containing seven fours and four sixes, A Bali (42 6x4, 1x6) and captain J P Yadav (67 of 63 balls, 4x4, 5x6) contributed with the bat for Delhi Jets.

Misra put on 68 runs for the second wicket with Bali and then added 125 for the fourth with Yadav.

Kolkata spinner Shib Sagar Singh claimed 2 for 57.

Earlier, Kolkata openers A S Jain (44 – 6x4) and P Aziz (93 – 12x4, 2x6) provided a solid start, making 145, before Jain made his exit. With the fall of quick wickets, Rohan Gavaskar chipped in with a worthy 45 (3x4, 3x6) and D B Das Gupta (39) and Shib Sagar Singh (33) were the other scorers.

Delhi medium pacers Sudhindra (2/71), Abid Nabi (2/55) and Abbas Ali (2/43) were the main wicket-takers, while spinner Bali, who bowled just one over and conceded one run, claimed the last three Kolkata wickets.

With six matches have been completed in the six-team round robin league (top team finishers playing in the Feb 10h final), Delhi have won both their matches, while Chandigarh, Chennai, Mumbai and Kolkata have won a match and lost a tie each.

Hyderabad Heros lost both their matches.
