Later, B Sharma chipped in with a useful 40 to take the score past 250.

Mumbai medium pacers Anupam Sanklecha (3/35), Shreyas Khanolkar (3/39) and Ranjit Khirid (2 for 44) were the main wicket-takers.

In reply, Mumbai openers held sway for the first 20 overs before Robin Morris was run out for 74.

Soon Jadhav too was run out after making an elegant 88. These two put on 125 for the first wicket in 20.1 overs.

RP Patil, who came in for Morris, played well and made 52.
