West Indies batting legend Brian Lara feels that India are currently playing the "best cricket of the World Cup."

With hoards of Indian fans storming the Australian grounds, you could be forgiven for mistaking it to be the Eden Gardens or the Wankhede. Bouyed by the vociferous crowd, India thrashed traditional rivals, South Africa and later UAE in their pool matches so far.

The ongoing World Cup may not be the best in terms of form for the hosts, Australia, but that hasn't deterred the fans from pouring into the stadiums to back their team.

Talk about passion and loyalty!!!

The Indian and Pakistani fans rally around their players.

This is exactly what this man and this girl in the picture proved. They came to the stadium to watch the arch rivals play.

Virat Kohli scored an imperious century to steer India to a thumping 76 runs victory over Pakistan in their opening World Cup match at the Adelaide Oval on February 14.

After putting up an imposing 300 for seven, they shot out their arch-rivals for only 224 to begin the defence of the crown they won in 2011 on a rousing note.

Afghanistan also have had their share of supporters; their flag colours are flaunted by young and old.
