Dr Warrier to accompany Harbhajan

Finger surgeon Dr Sudhir Warrier will accompany off-spinner Harbhajan Singh to the United States for surgery on his finger.

Orthopaedic surgeon Dr Dror Paley of the Sinai Hospital in Baltimore will perform the surgery.

Dr Warrier, in consultation with Board of Control for Cricket in India doctor and sports medicine expert Dr Anant Joshi, decided Harbhajan would have to undergo surgery in the United States to set right the finger he hurt during the New Zealand tour earlier this year.

Harbhajan and Dr Warrier are expected to leave for the US, from New Delhi, this weekend, a BCCI source said on Tuesday.
