The International Cricket Council on Tuesday confirmed receipt of a letter of appeal from India captain Sourav Ganguly against the two-Test suspension imposed after the match against Pakistan on Satuday.
Ganguly has appealed against ICC Match Referee Clive Lloyd's decision to suspend him for two matches for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct, citing the playing conditions and the provisions of the Code.

The ICC has appointed New Zealand barrister Tim Castle who will have seven days to hear and determine the appeal.
Ganguly was found guilty of the charge in a hearing at the Taj Bengal Hotel in Kolkata on Sunday. He is permitted to play international cricket pending the outcome of the appeal.
