Fans can bid to experience Warne's spin magic

For cricket fans who have dreamt of rubbing shoulders with Shane Warne, it is the opportunity of a lifetime as the Australian spin legend will bowl an over at the one who makes the highest bid during a charity match to raise funds for New Zealand's Earthquake victims.

Warne will also bowl an over to New Zealand Prime Minister John Key during the match, which will also feature actors Russell Crowe, Sir Ian McKellan and James Nesbitt as well as rugby stars Richie McCaw and Conrad Smith.

"Tickets are selling out fast and there is huge interest," Cricket Wellington Chief Executive Gavin Larsen was quoted as saying in the media in Melbourne.

"We are heading towards a potential sell-out of the ground which would be a tremendous result, which would clearly contribute significantly to the earthquake appeal," he added.

New Zealand was devastated by an earthquake last month in hich several hundred people lost their lives.
