India in trouble. Discuss Day 3 of the Eden Test

December 07, 2012 17:27 IST

It was another frustrating day for India at the Eden Gardens on Friday.

England captain Alastair Cook continued to torment the hosts, scoring a monumental 190, as the tourists took command of the third Test.

At stumps on Day 3, England were 509 for 6, 193 runs ahead of India.

Pragyan Ojha was India's leading wicket-taker, claiming three wickets for 140 runs, while Ishant Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin got a wicket each even as senior pacer Zaheer Khan went wicketless after 29 overs.

With the pitch expected to deteriorate drastically from session two on the fourth day, India has a herculean task ahead.

What do you think went wrong for the home team?
