Mithun replaces injured Yadav for remaining ODIs

India [ Images ] pacer Umesh Yadav was, on Friday, ruled out of the remaining two matches of the series against England [ Images ] due to a finger injury, he sustained in the third ODI in Mohali.

The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has replaced Yadav with Karnataka [ Images ] pacer Abhimanyu Mithun, who has played two ODIs for India before.

India won the third ODI by five wickets last night to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.

India take on England in the penultimate match of the series in Mumbai [ Images ] on Sunday. The final game will be played in Kolkata [ Images ] on October 25.

"Umesh Yadav sustained an injury during the Mohali ODI against England and has been ruled out of the remainder of the ODI series against England. Abhimanyu Mithun [ Images ] has been named his replacement. He will join the Indian team in Mumbai," BCCI Secretary Sanjay Jagdale said.

Yadav, the 23-year-old Vidharbha bowler, took four wickets for 153 runs in the three matches he played.
