BCCI working committee to meet on Saturday

October 28, 2011 21:12 IST

The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI)'s working committee will meet, in Kolkata, on Saturday, apparently to discuss issues related to the Indian Premier League and the India-England series.

However, according to a Cricket Aaaociation Bengal (CAB)official, there is no cricketing agenda up for discussion.

"Unless a working committee member raises a cricketing topic, there will be no discussion. Only administrative matters will be part of the agenda," the official said.

Meanwhile, the CAB was hoping for a much better turnout in Saturday's lone Twenty20 match than Tuesday's fifth and final ODI at the Eden Gardens, in Kolkata.

Till Friday, the CAB has sold about 15,500 tickets out of 30,000.

"Response for the T20 match is better. We expect a crowd of about 500,00 for the match," CAB joint secretary Biswarup Dey said.

The Eden recorded it's lowest-ever turnout involving India when about 27,000 spectators turned out for the fifth ODI against England.
