A month back, there was huge buzz over India‘s 500th Test and many former greats had come up with their own all-time XI of India.

Now, to celebrate Pakistan's 400th Test match played against West Indies, legendary Pakistan fast bowler Waqar Younis has revealed his all time Pakistan Test XI.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfraz Ahmed was the only player under the age of 30 selected in the high-quality side. Furthermore, the 29-year-old, alongside veteran right-handed batsman Younus Khan, was the one of two active players picked.

The former Pakistan coach selected late Hanif Mohammad and teammate Saeed Anwar to open the innings, with Younus at three and former skipper Javed Miandad was named at four.

Inzamam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Yousuf were selected to bat at number five and six respectively, with Imran and Sarfraz to follow in an extremely deep batting order.

Imran, who led Pakistan to World Cup victory in 1992 was also named captain of the side.

Waqar's former teammates, Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhtar, made up the fast-bowling combination, with leggie Abdul Qadir providing the spin option.

Perhaps the most notable omission from the team is that of Waqar himself, while Misbah-ul-Haq, Saqlain Mushtaq, Moin Khan, Wasim Bari and Zaheer Abbas are others who could have easily featured.
