Dissenting Rohit Sharma docked 50 per cent of his match fee

Mumbai Indians’ skipper Rohit Sharma was fined 50 per cent of his match fee for showing dissent at an umpire’s decision during Indian Premier League (IPL) match against the Rising Pune Supergiant at the Wankhede Stadium on Monday.

Rohit admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.1.5 of the IPL Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials.

This is the MI captain’s second Level 1 offence this season.

For Level 1 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct, the match referee’s decision is final and binding.
