Bengal skipper Deep Dasgupta will have to miss his team's first two East Zone one-day league games against Assam and Tripura after being penalised for slow over-rate in the Ranji Trophy final against Mumbai.
The Ranji final concluded here on Monday.
Dasgupta has also been fined ten per cent of his match fees while his teammates have copped a 50 per cent fine for the slow over rate of Bengal, who had indulged in the trangression for the fourth time this season, including the semi-final against Karnataka, according to a release from the BCCI.
Bengal take on Assam on February 13 and then clash against Tripura two days later in the zonal one-day league which is to be held at Cuttack.
