BCCI's Disciplinary Committee meets in New Delhi on Sunday for the third time to continue its probe into alleged financial irregularities by suspended IPL chief Lalit Modi, who would once again seek the recusal of Chirayu Amin and Arun Jaitley from the panel.

After two hearings, which have not produced any significant result, the three-member panel is expected to finally decide on Modi's demand for the recusal in the meeting on Sunday evening.

In the last hearing, which lasted close to three and a half hours, Modi's lawyers had pressed for the inclusion of a retired Supreme Court judge into the committee that also includes Congress MP Jyotiraditya Scindia.

Modi has himself remained absent from the proceedings and has been represented by his lawyers.

Modi's counsel Mehmood Abdi sought a number of documents from the BCCI related to the IPL and the Board's meetings in the previous meeting held on August 27.

"A retired Supreme Court judge must be there in the committee. We have grave concern about the BCCI's stance. If they have already decided then what's the point in all their meetings? Whosoever is doing this is hurting BCCI's cause more," Abdi had said at the last hearing.

The three-member disciplinary panel first met on July 16 and allowed Modi to be represented by his lawyers.

The exception was made after Modi's second counsel Venkatesh Dhond explained that the charges against the administrator were of a serious nature and complex legal issues were involved, particularly in relation to interpretation of contract documents.
