The members of the affiliated units of the BCCI during its AGM on Wednesday discussed Lodha panel secretary Gopal Shankarnarayan's alleged remarks on the selectors but no specific decision was taken on the matter.

"Yes, the matter came up for discussion on the floor. Secretary Ajay Shirke mentioned about some allegations made by Lodha Panel secretary Gopal Shankarnarayan's about selectors.

"But let me state this, Mr Shirke never clarified about which selectors he was referring to. Hearing this Brijesh Patel and MP Pandove were furious," a member of affiliated unit told PTI on conditions of anonymity.

"Some of the members said that there should be a protest lodged with the Supreme Court appointed panel.

"While some members discussed that whether any legal steps can be taken, one of the veteran officials from a southern state told members that first one should be sanguine that there is no truth to such allegations and then only mull any legal action.

"I felt he was right as he cautioned the BCCI from doing anything in haste," the member further added.
